The Amazing Zebra Boy

…Managed to catch him on Tri-X 400 today.

Always wanted to try “Stand Developing”…finally took the plunge.  (Thanks Aware of the Void!)

This one was done in 1:100 HC-110 for 1 hour, at 20°C.

The results are pretty surprising given that I over-exposed half the roll.

I’m going to have to do this more often…

Dapple is normally a no no…but I really it here Mark. The initial reaction when you see this is look again…for the right reasons. The lines in shadow work here imo. Its like its a NZ maroi warrior tattoo printed on his face.

  2. Karim D. Ghantous (@kdghantous) says:

“It says here that I have to develop for one hour.”
    “That’s a long time.”
“Well, you can do other things while the film is developing.”
“Not if I’m in a darkroom, holding a developing tank while standing up.”
    “What are you on about?”
“Yeah. Says here, ‘For stand developing, leave for one hour at 20 degrees’.”
“No, the standing refers to the film, not you!”
