Roll Thirty-Eight

Roll-38-2

Some familiar, some different…

Took big artistic risks here, and the payoff was huge.

😉

Andy: If you’re laid up in hospital, I hope that you’re well (and that you have Internet access!)

As always, I hope you enjoy…

Counting down Mark. By the time you respond I’ll be under!! The image of your daughter and shadow is special imo. It transcends your wonderful family genre into a new world. I could see some old time magnum guys getting credit for artistic cudos for an image like that. The risk was worth it :-)!

I agree with Andrew about the daughter/shadow pose. The shadow almost looks like some primitive sculpture, some totem carved by native peoples. But I also love the shot on the steps of whatever municipal building that is, with your daughter riding through the scene behind everybody else. Like Andrew noted, it extends beyond its familial context.

(PS Don’t know what’s up with AG, but would add my well wishes to yours. g )

      Thanks Greg.

These are definitely some of my favorite photos from any of the rolls!

The Municipal building is actually the Alberta Legislature…where our venerable Premier used to work… Now she’s hanging out in California trying to collect a paycheck.

As for AG: he is OK…just having a tune-up and warranty extension. I’m sure he’ll appreciate the well-wishes!

      All the best,
      M.
