Proof Of Concept…

Here’s a little project I’ve been working on…more info to follow.

From you, a guess, if you please:

What film was this shot on?

(I’ll give you a hint: This is effectively ISO 800)

I did nothing other than scan, and clean up some major scratches in LR5.

Stay tuned…

(Hint #2: The Pakon F135 has absolutely no idea what to do with it).

        Thanks for the guess Andy!

The second hint is a bit of a big clue: the film does not have DX markings (like Portra or Superia does…) The color signature is also very different than the standard Portra issues (magentas and purples in the blacks and shadows).

The answer will follow in a bit…

        Hope you’re getting well, M.

Well, I’m less of a film guy surely than Andrew, who I hope will someday soon be showing us some Mamiya 7 (or 6, I forget) images. But without DX markings would it be some kind of bulk cinema film? The colors are definitely less saturated, but the skin tones (on the couple monitors I’ve seen it on) look delightful.

By the by, she’s standing a lot, but I don’t recall seen any postings of BJ actually walking yet, surely soon or I’ve missed it somehow.

You’re spot on: it is indeed cinema film. I’ll have more details later today.

As for the walking: Only with assistance at present…but any day now I’m sure!
