What Owl?

If there was an owl in these images (which there obviously isn’t…)

It would probably be “our” new friend Owie.  The Owl.

First one is Portra 400 shot at ISO 800 (some magenta shadows–this is pre-development epiphany)

Second is M9

Third is Hassy on Tri-X 400 at ISO 800

As usual (but not all the time) it was easy to pick the film from the M9. Sometimes it’s not obvious and that is a testament to the M9’s sensor and Bayer filter. But usually it is obvious. Overall I prefer even Fuji 200 over the M9, but there is nothing at all wrong with the M9 or M 240. 🙂

Just BTW, ‘Jurassic World’ was filmed in 35mm. Even the internet trailer looks nice. The next Bond film might be also shot on film (the previous one was digital). I love choice, and I think most people do, as well.

Thanks for the comments Karim…I’ll keep my eye out for the movies! (incidentally, the opening B&W sequence of Casino Royale was shot on the Eastman 5222)

Hereby suspending all Portra use until revelation of your epiphanic development. 😉 I like the owl, by the way. Must be difficult to go back to focusing on the normal sized eyes afterwards.
