These are rather nice souvenirs of what seems to be a nice weekend – a little bit more special than iPhone snaps, right? Of course I’m right. 😛

I think #3 is the weak link here. The highlights are not disciplined, the composition is not ‘just so’ and there is no drama, there is nothing that ‘says’ anything.

Back in the day, you’d have each one printed on 8×10 paper. Right now they’d be drying and after that they’d be pressed (or ironed) flat. We can do exactly that these days… but we don’t. Our reflexes are different today. It’s either Export to JPEG or Scan & Upload.

I suppose I’m just thinking aloud. Thankfully we do have the possibility of having the best of both worlds. The only question for me is motivation. I certainly appreciate yours! 😉

      Thanks Karim.

For me, #3 is a memory of a sunny, slushy, puddly walk with the gang. I also like it because of the line of his shadow connecting him, and the reflection of the two trees in the water.

In any case, I guess not every photo needs to be epic–but it still records a happy moment in time.
