It’s a lovely shot, for sure. It makes you feel tranquil and content. I think we are happiest when we are near water. There is something very spiritual about it – and I wouldn’t be the first to notice. 🙂
I do like the clean look of a good sensor, despite my bias for film (which you might share). I think it’s nice to go back and forth. This kind of change – film, digital, film, digital – is healthy change. It doesn’t have to cost a lot, either. Anyway, I note how well the GR handles strong highlights. Is it always this good? I’d like to know your basic thoughts about this camera and its sensor.
The APS-C sensor of the Ricoh GR renders beautifully. It is also very pocket-able and intuitive to use. My only criticism of the camera is that (at 28mm…) it is slightly too wide for my tastes; However, it was very suitable for this trip!
