You get, what you get…

I take a lot of photos.

(Like maybe even too many, I guess…)

I found a roll of film in the M2 the other day, and I couldn’t even remember what it was, where it was from, or what ISO I shot it at.

It was like my own little mini-time capsule of my own negatives!

Fortunately I am super cautious whenever I open a camera these days; I had wound it completely back into the bulk-loaded canister, so I couldn’t even examine the film itself.

I threw it in the changing bag, opened it up, cut off a small piece of leader, and wound it on the spool.Ā  Once the developing tank was loaded, I pulled the leader out, and recognized it as Double-X.Ā  I knew I was only shooting it at ISO 200, so the formuler’ was easy from there…

Turns out the roll was from about a month ago.Ā  We had taken the kids to cycle camp, and had a chance to hit the park for some strolling and ice cream…

Looking through these was a pleasant surprise.

I love when you find an old roll and you have no idea what’s on it! Such a fun surprise when developing. One of the many wonders of film…
