    Staying with just these shots, and not generalizing, digital makes the light seem cleaner but film makes the image nicer. Of course the difference is obvious, even in the previews. One thing that is hard to guess is what film you used. I’m guessing Kodak 400.

    Looking at these a little more, I can see how the M9 picks up everything. Like, EVERYTHING. Maybe you need one of those diffusion filters (I’m guessing you have considered this before). Peter was right when he pointed out that the M9 has better microcontrast than the M240 (and pretty much any DSLR). The result is astonishingly sharp images, especially with sharp lenses.
