      Thank you very much–unfortunately this was on the close-focus adapter, so the DOF and background compression is artificially thin.

    I really like the second one where she is reaching. And I’ll echo the comments on the VM 35…I really enjoyed that lens while I had it.

      I have mixed feelings about this lens. I like it’s size and flexibility, but I haven’t really “fallen in love” with it on the M9 film or on film. Given the choice, I would definitely keep the 40/1.4 SC over this; but I certainly appreciate this lens for what it is.

      I keep thinking I should sell it, but the Canadian prices of these things have shot up pretty substantially, as the big-box dealers (B&H, Cameraquest) can no longer ship to Canada on account of the Canadian distributor.

        I think if I had to choose I’d probably keep the 40 as well, the field of view and depth of field combo is similar to the 80/2.8 in medium format (obviously not identical but close).
