Roll Three

These were shot at ISO 800, and “pre-flashed” for 8 minutes in Rodinal 1:100.

Anything pushed in scanning looks a tad on the grainy side…

Everything else looks extremely well-saturated.

    Please explain preflash and why.
    I know Rodinal 100:1 is for b/w stand development. Is this a recognised push for Portra.
    Fabulous photos , Portra seems to be the goto colour neg film.

    These are great. I love the light and tone in the piano pics – for whatever reason I was reminded of the song ‘City of Stars’ from La La Land. I had forgotten about pre-flashing. I wonder if any labs do this when asked to push colour film.

    When you get the exposure bang on it really looks a lot like slide film – which is pretty stinkin cool. Love the first, second, and the Lego. 👍🏻

    These are just great photos! As a not-analog guy I don’t understand enough about the technic but boy do they look great! Really authentic (yeah, cheesy word) and great to look at!
