Evening Antics

EA-2

Tonight.

No point to these really…other than to remind myself why I love the 50 Lux on film.

And also why I love Superia.  It could really be my forever color film…if I had to pick one.  (If it doesn’t get discontinued first, that is…)

Oh and also…why I love all these crazy guys.

These were all shot wide-open with a 3-stop ND filter, in order to test my Ikon calibration.

Hope you enjoy!

(Oh and also: This is post #700 I guess!)

More Tales from the Weekend

"Ehhhhhxcellent"

“Ehhhhhxcellent.”

These were taken the same weekend as the “Fetching the Tree” photos on Superia 400, shot at ISO 800.

Straight off the Pakon with no adjustments.

I know the first photo is imperfectly focused on her eyes, but I can just hear her little Monty Burns voice say “Ehhhhxcellent.” as she taps those fingers together.

As always, I hope you enjoy.

All the best,

-Mark

Scenes from a Weekend

SFW-11

Yes, they are a little surreal, but that is just “business as usual” around here.

🙂

This is Superia 400 Xtra pushed to 800 (I think I actually prefer it this way…) developed for 4:30, and scanned on the Pakon.

Bear in mind: This is only part-way down the rabbit hole, my friends…

Colouring

…and now back to your regularly scheduled “Baby J” photograph.

She is moving on, and wants to be doing “big” things now.

There is just something exquisite about the rendering here that I really like…

This is Superia 400 shot at ISO 800 on the f/1 Noct.

It is not a perfect photo, but timeless all the same.

All the best,

M.

The Flower Fairies of Autumn

Autumn-1

The light was bright and a little harsh, but taking these was fun.  I debated B&W (the colors are a bit different…) but couldn’t bring myself to do it.  If you’re curious, Baby J is holding the film I used in the last photo…hence why there was only one roll shot.

All the best,

M.
