Special Guest Star

Eldest son, armed with a Nikon F100–Had a little walkabout to talk about composition (of which I know very little, so…..🤣)

He insisted on focusing manually (which is pretty impressive, actually…) and we developed, scanned and critiqued these together afterward, so I guess there is some hope for the lad.

Some fog and some ice made for some beautiful shooting in the cold.

These were all shot on Portra 400 pushed one stop to ISO 800 (…because, okay?)

but some of them were just crying out for B&W.

Well, seeing as how the last three B&W rolls were such a hit 🙂 I thought I’d post some color for your enjoyment.

These started today at the crack of dawn when they got up, moved through a totally counterproductive photo-walking process (fifty percent of them screamed the whole way…) and ended this afternoon with some housebound craziness.

This is rebadged Superia 200 pushed to 400, and scanned on the F135.

Seventy-five percent of them are finally asleep…

…Standing guard.

Taken yesterday during our patented photo-walking process.

Portra 400 shot at 200 with the Nikkor 8.5cm.  It was really really bright–should have had an ND filter, but don’t own one that fits…yet.
