Yes, we Canadians are, in fact, sending wildfire smoke south of the border.
On purpose.
This is the view of La Casa wildfire from the Grey Monk winery across Lake Okanagan.
It is one of many burning right now, and threatening the area.
This was yesterday…it is quite a bit bigger at present, at around 1400 acres.
It remains out of control despite all efforts.
Rake your forests, people.
(And sympathies to those presently under threat in Washington State!!)

These fires are very scary and sad in the fact they are going to be the norm until nothing is left to burn. I hate to see all the loss on every level because it is generational and so destructive and overwhelming. What we have so taken for granted is going. I just wish that we could find a solution for the destruction we have done.
